Backer’s standard range of cast-in elements in stock is primarily designed for indirect heating of liquids in vessels and containers. Indirect heating eliminates the risk of lime scaling and corrosion on the heating element. Installation is straightforward: secure the element with bolts and apply heat-transfer cement between the element surface and the vessel wall. The large heat-emitting surface ensures a low relative surface temperature and minimizes heat loss, as the temperature difference between the element and the liquid remains small. If additional heating capacity is required, more cast-in elements can easily be added.
