We manufacture immersion heaters for liquid heating, using copper or acid-resistant stainless-steel elements and stainless-steel or brass heads. Threaded flanges are available in several sizes, including 1", 1¼", and 2". Immersion heaters. also known as screw-in heaters, are used as the heat source in applications such as water heaters, commercial dishwashers, boilers, and industrial baths. The design is based on Backer’s tubular heating elements, which are brazed or welded to flanges, terminal heads, or nipples. They can be equipped with thermostats, thermal cut-outs, and terminal boxes. Thermostats and temperature limiters are also available for installation directly onto tubular elements. As an alternative, we also offer immersion heaters with steatite elements for indirect heating. Backer maintains a stock range of immersion heaters in various configurations for fast delivery, and we also provide fully customized solutions when required.
